The Technical Support Analyst role based in Cape Town is a full-time position focused on logistics and infrastructure development within the supply chain domain. This role plays a critical part in evaluating and executing supply chain investments, ensuring technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization of terminal and storage solutions. The analyst will collaborate with logistics providers, storage operators, and terminal owners to identify new opportunities, support feasibility assessments, and contribute to business case development for capital projects. The position also involves benchmarking supply chain assets, managing regulatory reporting, and aligning technical initiatives with commercial strategy. Post-investment tracking and continuous improvement methodologies are key components of this role, supporting enterprise-wide excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend logistics and infrastructure investments including storage capacity and terminal upgrades
• Engage with logistics providers, storage operators, and terminal owners to explore supply chain opportunities
• Support due diligence and feasibility assessments for third-party infrastructure utilization
• Assist in developing business cases for infrastructure-related capital projects
• Conduct technical and operational benchmarking of supply chain assets
• Monitor and maintain regulatory reporting requirements for terminal capacity and infrastructure
• Provide technical input into management of change processes for infrastructure projects
• Support post-investment performance tracking to ensure efficiency and cost benefits
• Collaborate with the Business Development and Excellence Manager to align technical initiatives with commercial strategy
• Support enterprise-wide business excellence initiatives using continuous improvement methodologies

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years in supply chain operations, logistics infrastructure development, or technical business analysis
• Experience in capital project evaluation, operational benchmarking, and compliance monitoring
• Strong technical and analytical skills for infrastructure feasibility and performance assessment
• Understanding of storage, terminal, and logistics network economics
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for fuel supply infrastructure
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and technical analysis tools
• Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities
• Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders in logistics and infrastructure planning
